Our church bell, which was installed in the early 1900’s, was rededicated on November 20, 1994.On Thursday, November 24, 1994, we celebrated our “First Thanksgiving Worship Service.” We also had two services held on Saturday: our first Prayer Breakfast and a Musical Concert by Wake Forest Choir. Many of these services have become annual events.In 1995, on Easter Sunday Morning, we celebrated the 25th year of Sunrise Fellowship Services by partaking of Holy Communion.
On Sunday, April 23, 1995, we installed our first female Trustees: Sister Mary L. Miles, and Sister Willie Mae Jackson.
through its Outreach Ministry, began a feeding program to include the sick and elderly in the surrounding areas. This Ministry includes some homeless people as well. It also sponsored Clothes Give -a- ways annually and monthly Prayer Service. Fellowshipping with the residents of the Williams Home once a month has been a real joy for this ministry.
Many other ministries have been started through our walk with God since the leadership of Pastor Andrew B. Scott.
The Health Awareness Ministry (HAM) was developed in 1997 and is chaired by sister Rosemary Williams (a nurse). This ministry has become an integral part of our self-awareness ministry. Its first Healthy Prayer Breakfast was held on July 19, 1997.
The Pastor’ Aid Ministry sponsors an annual Prayer Breakfast each March.
