Minister Grant states that ”a part of my purpose is to make people laugh and feel good about themselves.”  He lives each day by:

Wilson Bernard Grant, is from Thomson, Georgia.  Reverend Grant is married and they have one son.  Minister Grant attended and graduated from Thomson High School, Thomson, GA; and the University of South Carolina, Columbia, SC.  He was a member of the USC Football Team.  He is employed by the SC Vocational Rehabilitation Department as a Center Manager.
Bernard gave his life to Christ at age 12.  He became a member of Springfield Baptist Church, Thomson, GA, where he was very active in the Youth Department.  Bernard began attending Second Union Baptist Church in 1976 after meeting his wife LaVeta at University of South Carolina.  He has served in several capacities and was ordained as a Deacon in 1988. 
He received the call to preach the gospel and was licensed at Second Union Baptist Church on Sunday, January 11, 2004.

Rev. Elease Grant was born in Orangeburg, SC.  It was there that she attended the public schools. After graduating from Wilkinson High School, she served in the United States Air Force. She is the proud mother of four wonderful daughters.  She also has four sisters and one brother.  Minister Grant received an Associate Degree from Columbia Commercial College in Business Management and Secretarial Science.  She also earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Allen University and furthered her education in the field of Library Science at the University of South Carolina.
 After an honorable discharge from the United States Air Force. Minister Grant traveled extensively in the U. S. and Europe.  After returning to South Carolina in 1969 she attended various community churches before joining Second Union Baptist.  As a faithful member of Second Union Baptist Church she has served in various auxiliaries and ministries.  God blessed her with the special ability to minister to the spiritually poor and to those in need.  And in 1996, God led Minister Grant to a ministry of outreach where she exercises her evangelical calling.  She proudly takes the word of God beyond the physical walls of the church into streets and homes of the Columbia area. 
Minister Grant preached her initial sermon and was licensed on October 24, 1999 at Second Union Baptist Church.  She continues to do work for the glory of God by keeping His Great Commission. On February 14th 2005 she was ordained as Reverend Elease Grant at Second Union Baptist Church.
