Rev. Andrew B. Scott

Andrew Bernard Scott, a native of Darlington, South Carolina, was born September 30.  He is the son of the Late Nathan and Edith Scott.

Andrew graduated from Mayo High School in Darlington, South Carolina.  In May 1973, he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from Barber-Scotia College.

Andrew is married to First Lady Linda Scott and God has blessed them with two children and six grandchildren.

Andrew grew up and worked faithfully at Lawson Grove Baptist Church in Darlington, South Carolina, he worked in many capacities. Later he joined Fort Clark Baptist Church in Elgin, South Carolina, where he served on several committees and directed the Concert Choir.

In December 1990, Andrew acknowledged and received his calling from God to preach the gospel.  He was licensed by Fort Clark Baptist Church on January 20, 1991.  In October 1993, Pastor Scott was ordained and installed by the Gethsemane Association as Pastor of Second Union Baptist Church.

Pastor Scott is a dedicated servant of God.  His motto is “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not to thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).”
